1,200 police officers deployed to secure opening of classes in Cordillera
LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Security is all set for the opening of classes in the Cordillera region on Monday, June 8.
Police Regional Office-Cordillera chief Police Brig. Gen. Ericson D. Dilag said 2,213 personnel and force multipliers have been mobilized – 1,275 police officers, 105 traffic auxiliaries, and 833 force multipliers, particularly members of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATs) – under the “Oplan Balik-Eskwela” program of the PRO-CAR.
These personnel are particularly stationed around schools and transportation terminals.
Dilag added that 188 police assistance desks have been placed in and around school campuses and clustered school areas.
Police reminded people keep an eye on children and stay alert during the opening of classes.
