PNB Wealth Solutions Head Mark Gieron De Mesa
Philippine National Bank proudly announces that its homegrown talent has been recognized by Citywire Asia in its Top 25 ASEAN Selectors 2026 list. Mark Gieron De Mesa, Head of Wealth Solutions, is among the eight Filipino awardees honored this year.
Now in its fifth year, the Citywire Asia Top ASEAN Selectors list recognizes outstanding investment professionals across the region for excellence in fund selection and portfolio management. Awardees are selected through a rigorous evaluation process that considers both quantitative and qualitative criteria, including enhancements in product selection, digital platforms, and demonstrated track records in investment performance.
The awarding ceremony was held on 14 May 2026 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, where top selectors from across ASEAN gathered to receive their recognition.
De Mesa’s inclusion in this distinguished group highlights his leadership in advancing PNB Private Banking’s focus on innovation, disciplined investment strategies, and client-centric solutions.
“Moving forward, we aim to further enhance the breadth and depth of our offerings by providing clients with access to a diverse range of global investment products—enabling better portfolio allocation and true diversification across asset classes and geographies,” said De Mesa.
This milestone reinforces PNB’s position as a competitive player in the regional wealth management landscape, anchored on global insights, local expertise, and a client-first philosophy.
De Mesa added, “Our Wealth Solutions team is actively expanding PNB Private Banking’s product suite, beginning with Peso UITFs and progressively introducing USD UITFs and mutual funds. This product expansion will enhance client access to a broader range of investment options, professional management, and currency diversification, ensuring that the advice we provide remains relevant, resilient, and actionable in both stable and volatile conditions.”
PNB Wealth Management Group Head and FSVP Maria Teresa C. Velasco underscored that being recognized among ASEAN’s top investment selectors affirms that PNB is on the right path. “This recognition reminds us to continuously raise the bar for customer engagement while driving top-notch investment opportunities for our clients’ evolving needs,” she said.
Beyond performance metrics and milestones, De Mesa’s achievement reflects the Bank’s core values and commitment to service excellence. Philippine National Bank remains steadfast in its mission to go beyond expectations—supporting both its employees and clients Every Step Together toward lasting prosperity.
