Police arrested three suspected drug distributors and confiscated ₱1.36 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Las Piñas City on June 4.
The suspects—identified only as Emer, 48; Jerick, 34; and Leonardo, 51—were arrested around 9 p.m. at the rear parking area of a food chain in Barangay Pulanglupa Uno.
The operation was carried out by the Southern Police District (SPD) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) in coordination with the District Intelligence Division and personnel of the Las Piñas Police Sub-Station 1, as part of the intensified campaign against illegal drugs.
Recovered from the suspects were three knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing approximately 200 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱1,360,000.
Authorities also seized an Android mobile phone, a long white envelope, and the marked buy-bust money used in the operation.
Las Piñas Police chief Col. Ricky Neron said the volume of drugs confiscated indicates that the suspects were engaged in distribution networks rather than small-scale peddling.
The arrested men are now detained at the Las Piñas Police custodial facility and face charges under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
