Bohol remains one of the country's most popular tourism destinations, drawing visitors with its beaches, natural attractions, and diverse experiences. As the province welcomes more local and international travelers, demand continues to rise for accommodations that cater to leisure stays, family trips, and business events. Responding to this demand, Robinsons Hotels and Resorts (RHR), the hospitality arm of Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC), is bringing Grand Summit Bohol, an upscale beachfront development, to Panglao.
Located in Doljo, Panglao, about 20 minutes from Bohol-Panglao International Airport, Grand Summit Bohol is set to become a new beachfront destination in one of the province's busiest tourism hubs. Construction is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with the property expected to open in 2028.
For Barun Jolly, senior vice-president of Robinsons Land and business unit general manager of RHR, Bohol's appeal lies in the variety of experiences it offers travelers, along with infrastructure developments that continue to improve accessibility.
“Bohol offers the Grand Summit brand a destination with a wider range of experiences, from Panglao’s coastline to natural landmarks such as the Chocolate Hills, tarsier sanctuaries, and marine attractions,” he says.
Jolly adds that Bohol's UNESCO Global Geopark designation, coupled with expanded airport capacity and a growing number of direct international flights, continues to strengthen the province's accessibility and appeal to both local and international travelers.
Set on a 7,737-square-meter beachfront property in Doljo, Grand Summit Bohol is designed as both a leisure retreat and a venue for meetings, events, and social gatherings. The hotel will feature more than 200 guest rooms and suites, each with a balcony overlooking the ocean or pool, along with dining outlets, a grand ballroom, meeting rooms, wellness facilities, and family-friendly amenities. The property will also incorporate self-check-in kiosks, while its ocean wave-inspired architecture, solar power systems, and smart technologies reflect RHR's focus on convenience, innovation, and sustainability.
Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio, president and CEO of Robinsons Land, shares how the project is intended to address the demand for trusted upscale accommodations in Panglao while preserving the qualities that make Bohol a sought-after destination.
“Grand Summit Bohol responds to what we see in Panglao: a need for branded upscale accommodations that international travelers and corporate groups can trust, without losing the warmth and local essence that make Bohol special,” she says.
Aragon-GoBio adds that the development is also envisioned to support the province's broader tourism and economic growth.
“By bringing upscale accommodations and MICE facilities to Bohol, we hope to support tourism that goes beyond leisure, from meetings and corporate travel to destination events, while creating jobs, supporting local businesses, and helping ensure that tourism growth benefits the wider community.”
For Robinsons Hotels and Resorts, Grand Summit Bohol represents both an investment in one of the country's leading tourism destinations and a response to the evolving needs of travelers. As Bohol's tourism sector continues to expand, the project adds to the province's hospitality landscape while supporting the group's broader efforts to strengthen its presence across key leisure and business destinations nationwide.
