ILAGAN CITY, Isabela – A 51-year-old farmer was allegedly stabbed to death by his neighbor following a dispute over a Wi-Fi connection in Purok 7, Barangay Bangag here on Wednesday night, June 3.
Police identified the victim as Bert.
Investigation said the suspect Johnny, 37, construction worker, was on his way home from a farm when he heard the victim and his wife having a heated argument over a Wi-Fi connection.
The suspect ran into the victim who threatened and ready to strike him with a metal pipe. Johnny drew a 12-inch bolo knife and stabbed the victim three times.
After the incident, Johnny went to his auntie’s house where he surrendered to authorities.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation and preparing appropriate charges against the suspect.
