Authorities at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 arrested a Filipino passenger arriving from Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday, June 4, after discovering 8.91 kilograms of suspected high-grade marijuana, or Kush, concealed in his checked baggage.
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) detected the contraband during routine X-ray screening, which was later confirmed by a K9 alert from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
The seized substance has an estimated street value of ₱13.365 million.
The confiscated items were turned over to the proper authorities for further examination and investigation.
