MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan — With brooms, mops, water pails, and grass cutters in hand, teachers, parents, community leaders, and volunteers gathered for the School-Based Brigada Eskwela kick-off ceremony at Malolos City High School (MCHS) Santisima Trinidad on Tuesday, June 2.
Guided by the theme “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa Para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,” the annual activity reaffirmed the community’s commitment to providing a safe, clean, and learner-friendly environment for students as the new school year approaches.
Teachers at MCHS emphasized that Brigada Eskwela is not just for preparing classrooms but also about strengthening community ties and building a better future together.
Parents also echoed this sentiment, saying the program instills the spirit of bayanihan in students while ensuring campuses are ready for learning.
“A clean school will give students an environment that will enhance their studies as they seek knowledge for a better future. Napakagandang pagmasdan na ang lahat ay nagtutulong-tulong para masigurong malinis at ligtas ang paaralan na papasukan ng aming mga anak ngayong darating na pasukan,” said the Ang family of Barangay Pinagbakahan, Malolos City.
Brigada Eskwela, a nationwide initiative of the Department of Education, continues to highlight the power of collective action in preparing schools for the academic year.
