Actress Kaye Abad is celebrating National Cancer Survivors Month with a powerful message of hope, faith, and resilience after successfully overcoming breast cancer.
In an emotional Instagram post, the former Kapamilya star joined millions of cancer survivors around the world in commemorating National Cancer Survivors Month this June.
Sharing a glimpse of her journey, Kaye acknowledged the difficult road she endured while fighting the disease.
“It’s cancer survivors month. We celebrate every survivor, every scar, every silent battle, every tear, every prayer, and every victory,” she wrote.
“What we went through was never easy, but here we are… still fighting, still standing, still choosing hope.”
Kaye also encouraged those who are currently undergoing treatment or navigating their own cancer journeys to remain strong and never lose faith.
“To everyone who continues this journey, know that your strength inspires more people than you realize,” she said.
“And through it all, let’s always remember that God is there, holding our hands during the hardest days, giving us strength when we feel weak. Never lose faith.”
The actress ended her message by celebrating life, healing, and second chances.
“Here’s to life, healing, courage, and second chances. Let’s continue to fight together. We are strong. We are survivors.”
Kaye previously opened up about the moment she learned she might have breast cancer.
The results led to a life-changing consultation with her doctor.
“While the doctor was talking, parang lumulutang ang mga words na sinasabi niya. Parang hindi ko ma-absorb. Ang clear lang sa akin is yung sinabi niya na from the photo of the mammogram it’s 95% malignant,” she recalled.
The shocking diagnosis marked the beginning of a challenging health battle for the actress and her family.
Determined to receive the best possible care, Kaye traveled to Singapore with her husband, businessman Paul Jake Castillo, to undergo treatment.
After months of uncertainty, medical procedures, and recovery, Kaye eventually received the news she had been hoping for: she was cancer-free.
Since sharing her story publicly, the actress has received an outpouring of support from fans and fellow survivors who found inspiration in her courage and openness about her health journey.
