New CR-V
Honda Cars Philippines President, Rie Miyake, with the new CR-V HuNT.
Another vehicle you shouldn’t miss is the latest iteration of the CR-V. Now in three variants, choose from two e:HEV full hybrid options alongside a refined VTEC Turbo variant.
Honda CR-V 2.0 RS e:HEV AWD
The top-of-the-line CR-V 2.0 RS e:HEV AWD E-CVT is offered as a premium sporty hybrid. It is perfect for daily city driving, business errands and also weekend getaways. It gets advanced Real-Time All-Wheel Drive (AWD) capability, engineered to deliver more dynamic performance, providing absolute traction by seamlessly managing power across various road conditions.
The next variant is the CR-V 2.0 VX e:HEV E-CVT. This hybrid still offers many of the CR-V’s premium amenities, convenience features, and safety package, making it perfect for family affairs, official business, or out of town drives. Design-wise, it gets a piano black tailgate spoiler garnish, door mirrors, and alloy wheels, topped off with new rear fog lights.
The third row seating exclusively available in the CR-V HuNT
The final variant is the CR-V 1.5 V Turbo HuNT CVT. This sole petrol variant benefits from rapid acceleration thanks to its VTEC Turbo engine. It is also the only CR-V variant with a third row that can comfortably sit seven passengers in total. It gets a unique “HuNT” emblem (exclusive to the Philippine market), glossy copper accents on the front grille and fog lights, black wheel arch garnish, silver front garnish, and running board.
All versions of the CR-V get vital safety systems like Blind Spot Information and a Cross Traffic Monitor. They also get the Honda SENSING safety suite with features like the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS).
Their in-car entertainment systems also come with Google Built-in, which offers hands-free voice control. There’s also Honda CONNECT that lets drivers link to their vehicle via a mobile app to display vital statistics or even find their car when outside of it.
Prelude
Of course, the star of the Honda booth will undoubtedly be the Prelude. The sophisticated hybrid coupe is a grand tourer that bridges nostalgic, well-loved heritage with new technology tailored for today’s market.
It comes with a low, wide stance and enchanting proportions. Blue Brembo brake calipers branded with the Prelude logo and large 19-inch aluminum wheels enhance its sophisticated and sporty image, while the sleek hatchback design provides added versatility for owners.
Inside, owners get a comfortable and functional cabin which features a unique asymmetrical seating layout. The driver’s seat returns a sportier feel, while the passenger’s is optimized for relaxation and comfort.
The Prelude is powered by a 2.0L Atkinson cycle engine integrated with Honda’s e:HEV full hybrid system. It produces a maximum power output of 141-PS at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 182-Nm from 4,500 rpm, achieving a fuel-efficiency rate of 25.6 km/LGe (based on DOE certification).
Each drive is elevated by several suspension components derived from the Civic Type R, resulting in similar handling, while providing greater ride comfort. Friction in its suspension system has been reduced, allowing for a more flexible response at each turn of the steering wheel.
