A FIRE hit the Cauayan City police headquarters on Tuesday night.
CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela – The police chief of this city was injured in a fire that hit the Cauayan Component City Police Station (CCPS) on Tuesday night, June 2.
Investigation said the fire started from a portion of the administrative building, particularly near the Office of the Chief of Police, at 10:35 p.m., after water seeped into an electrical outlet during heavy rain.
Police Lt. Col. Avelino D. Canceran Jr., chief of police, sustained burns while responding to the fire. He was taken to the Isabela United Doctors Medical Center here.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Cauayan City promptly put out the fire.
Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire but damage to property was estimated at P250,000.
No disruption of services was reported at the CCPS due to the fire.
