Cagape new Agusan del Norte police chief

CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Police Col. Ruel M. Cagape is the new Agusan del Norte Police Provincial Office (PPO) director.

Cagape, who came from the Regional Highway Unit-Negros Islands Region, succeeded Police Col. April Mark C. Young in a ceremony at the Agusan del Norte PPO headquarters here on Thursday, June 4.

In his acceptance message, Cagape vowed to strengthen local government unit and community partnerships, aggressively enhance local public safety initiatives, and sustain and strengthen the gains achieved by the Agusan del Norte PPO.

Agusan del Norte government officials and line agencies of the government witnessed the event.

Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) Director Police Brig. Gen. Marcial Mariano P. Magistrado IV commended Young for maintaining peace and order during his one-year and ten-month tenure

Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer, PRO-13 Public Information Office (RPIO) chief, said this leadership rotation underscores the Philippine National Police’s unwavering commitment to delivering continuous, honest, and responsive police service to the people.

Meanwhile, Police Lt. Col. Chad Kiat-Ong was installed as the 2nd Agusan del Norte Police Mobile Force Company.

Kiat-Ong replaced Police Lt. Col. Charlie C. Kedyam during a turnover ceremony here on Monday, June 1.
