Makati City Mayor Nancy Binay on Wednesday, June 3, said the city government paid Makati Life Medical Center a total of P741,473,673.34 for various medical services provided to patients under the Makati Health Plus Program or the Yellow Card.
The payment covered medical services rendered since the start of her term in July last year, with the mayor reiterating her commitment to accessible and quality health care for all residents as the city celebrates its 356th founding anniversary this June.
“I would like to assure Makati residents that the city government remains firmly committed to providing premium healthcare through continuous access to the comprehensive benefits of the Yellow Card,” Binay said.
She said the city government has continued to honor its obligations to Makati Life Medical Center, adding that succeeding billings for Yellow Card-related services will be processed for payment.
“Under my administration, the city has never wavered in its commitment to the health and well-being of every Makati resident and stakeholder,” she stated.
Binay said the city will continue investing billions of its budget in social development programs to promote equality, reduce poverty, and achieve other sustainable development goals.
