Despite the majority bloc's absence from plenary sessions for two straight days, Senator Imee Marcos insisted on Wednesday, May 3, that they are "continuously working".

This is her response to her brother, President Marcos' call for the Upper Chamber to return to work.
The President said the cancellation of sessions due to the majority bloc's non-appearance at the Senate plenary for two days now has turned the body into "disarray."
"Get back to work. Because it’s important, ang dami nating kailangang gawin (we have a lot of things that need to be done)," President Marcos said in an ambush interview in Manila.
Senator Imee said that they are working continuously with the persistence of the committee hearings.
"We are continuously working, the committee hearings have persisted, and the documents for the pre-trial conference of the impeachment are being processed," she said.
"In fact, we will have a Blue Ribbon Committee hearing tomorrow on the flood control scandal," she added.
She even stated that if the president has a minus/negative 15 satisfaction rating, she thinks that whatever he says or does, the public will disagree.
Former House Speaker and Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin Romualdez has been invited by the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee to the continuation of the panel’s hearing on the flood control scam.
Sen. Pia Cayetano, the new Blue Ribbon Committee chairperson, said they have formally issued invitations to the hearing that will be held on Thursday, June 4.
