Toyota Motor Philippines has broken ground on a new service center in Palo, Leyte with Toyota Tacloban, Leyte Inc., marking the brand’s first service center in the province. The facility is scheduled to open by mid-2027.
Once completed, the Toyota Palo, Leyte Service Center will occupy a 6,000-square-meter site and offer Express Maintenance, Periodic Maintenance, and General Repairs. It will also have a showroom and 32 service bays.
The new facility expands Toyota’s after-sales presence in Leyte, where the company said demand from customers in the area continues to grow.
TMP Senior Vice President of Marketing, Sherwin Chua-Lim, addresses guests at the ground-breaking ceremony.
“For the past 13 years, Toyota Tacloban has been committed to the Toyota brand through providing quality products and services to our customers,” said TMP Senior Vice President for Marketing Sherwin Chua-Lim. “And over time, have gained the trust of twenty-eight thousand customers to date, reflecting the confidence that the people of Leyte have placed in us.”

“This groundbreaking ceremony is not simply about constructing another service center. It is about preparing for the next generation. Anyone can build only for today’s needs, today’s demand, or today’s convenience,” said Yaokasin. “As we look around our province today, we see rapid change everywhere. Technology is evolving, mobility is happening, and customer expectations continue to rise. The needs of our communities are growing, and this expansion is our response to that future.”

Palo is a first-class municipality in Leyte with access to major transport routes, including the Pan-Philippine Highway, which connects it to Tacloban City and other parts of Leyte and Samar. Toyota said the area’s proximity to airports, seaports, and national road networks supports the movement of people and goods across the region.
The upcoming service center adds new capacity to Toyota’s network in Eastern Visayas and is expected to strengthen after-sales support for customers in the province once it opens in 2027.
