The Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) seized around P680,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrested three high-value individuals during a buy-bust operation in Cainta, Rizal.

Police identified the suspects as “Dan,” 33; “John,” 29; and “Ian,” 53.

The Rizal PPO said the operation was conducted by the Cainta Municipal Police Station in Barangay San Andres early Tuesday, June 2, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Authorities recovered nine sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 100 grams.

Police also seized a pouch, marked money, and cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug transactions.

The suspects were brought to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit for drug testing and laboratory examination.

Police said charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against the suspects.

Rizal PPO Director Col. Eleazar Barber Jr. said the operation is part of the province’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs.

“Hindi natin bibigyan ng puwang ang mga nagtutulak at nagpapakalat ng ilegal na droga sa ating mga komunidad. Patuloy nating paiigtingin ang ating operasyon laban sa mga sindikato at indibidwal na sumisira sa kinabukasan ng ating mamamayan (We will not give space to those who sell and spread illegal drugs in our communities. We will continue to intensify our operations against syndicates and individuals who destroy the future of our people),” Barber said.

“Ang pagkakaaresto sa mga High Value Individuals na ito ay malinaw na mensahe na seryoso ang Rizal PPO sa paglaban sa ilegal na droga at sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at kaayusan sa buong lalawigan (The arrest of these high-value individuals sends a clear message that the Rizal PPO is serious in its fight against illegal drugs and in maintaining peace and order across the province),” he added.
