The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will deploy 209 police personnel across the city under its Oplan Balik-Eskwela to ensure a safe, secure, and orderly opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027 on June 8.
Police Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio, QCPD director, said the operation aims to provide security for students, teachers, parents, and school personnel as they return to schools.
Under the plan, police personnel will be assigned to 175 public and private schools, while 86 Police Assistance Desks (PADs) will be established in strategic locations and key convergence areas to provide immediate assistance and faster response to incidents and public concerns.
Full deployment will be implemented on June 8, coinciding with the opening of classes, to strengthen police visibility in schools, transport routes, and surrounding communities and help deter criminal activities.
The QCPD will also provide security and traffic management support during Brigada Eskwela activities from June 1 to 5 to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of school preparation efforts across the city.
The initiative is being carried out in coordination with the Department of Education (DepEd), the Quezon City government led by Mayor Joy Belmonte, barangay officials, traffic enforcers, and other community partners.
“The QCPD is ready to ensure a safe and orderly opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027,” Silvio said.
