Long before she became an internationally recognized designer and entrepreneur, Marjorie Renner was already walking the runways of fashion royalty.

“I modeled for legends such as Mama Rene Salud, Pitoy Moreno, Ben Farrales, Tatang Aureo Alonzo, Inno Sotto, Frederick Peralta, and Tony Galang. I was among the pioneering models of Faces Asia under Ojie Atos, representing an era when style, grace, and presence mattered more than social media followers. Life eventually took me around the globe because of my husband’s work. I was a ‘taitai’ in Hong Kong- the infamous married ladies who lunch. But when my family moved to Paris, a eureka idea popped in my head. Why don’t I help Cebuanas create their own income by manufacturing the bags that I design and sell them here in Paris? That was when I established MR Renner Paris bags, a Capiz and other indigenous designed luxury bag brand proudly crafted by Filipino artisans, many of whom come from Cebu. From my women crochet workers, bag makers, and craftspeople, I continue to champion women empowerment, believing that financial independence is one of the greatest gifts a woman can receive,” the noble queen of Universe LTD 2022 tells Gossip Girl.

But this queen’s story isn't just about fashion. It's about purpose.

In Bohol, she has supported scholars pursuing careers in nursing, maritime studies, and law enforcement. Through her "One Heart, One Goal" youth initiative, she has helped support beach volleyball teams, given scholarships to young singers from the Coro Serafin choir, and community projects that give young people opportunities to dream bigger.

Then came a life-changing moment during the pandemic.

At the prestigious Los Angeles Model Hunt Third Edition held at the iconic Roosevelt Hotel, Marjorie won the Classic Division at the age of 60, proving that beauty truly has no age limit.

It was also there that she met entrepreneur and designer Emily Sy. The two visionaries shared the same realization. That conversation became the birth of Big 3 Global, now a growing force in fashion and pageantry.

Today, Marjorie serves as International Director of Noble Queen International, a role she embraced after organizers recognized her ability to inspire women around the world.

This year alone, her passport barely has no time to cool down -- Rome in July , the New York Fashion Week where her designs will be featured in Park Avenue on September 11 and 12, London Fashion Week with House of Icons on September 19 and Paris on October 3. Add Manila International Fashion Week and numerous international collaborations, and you'll wonder if she secretly owns a teleportation device.

Before all those international stops, however, Marjorie takes center stage at one of the season's most anticipated events.

On June 3 at Okada Manila, Philippines' Loveliest, founded by Ben Z. Jandoc and chaired by entertainment icon Becky Garcia, will honor 22 distinguished women and five gentlemen as "People with Purpose." Among those to be celebrated are Vivian Caramba, Takako Okada, Maru Go, Patricia Javier, Eren Noche, and distinguished leaders from various sectors.

Serving as ambassador of the event, Marjorie will also showcase her latest fashion collection during a special runway presentation. Sharing the spotlight with fellow designers Emily Sy and Jenny Ortega, the fashion show promises to be one of the highlights of the evening as the awardees take their celebratory walk.

It is actually fitting. After all, Marjorie Renner has built a career helping others shine. Her crown is not made of jewels. It is woven from the dreams of scholars in Bohol, stitched by artisans in Cebu, inspired by women who dare to reinvent themselves, and polished by decades of hard work across continents.
