Tot thrown off motorcycle, run over by bus, dies

CEBU CITY – A one-year-old boy was killed after he was thrown off a motorcycle and run over by a passenger bus in Barangay Bato, Samboan town, southern Cebu on Sunday night, May 31.
Investigation showed that the boy and his mother were riding a motorcycle driven by his father on their way home to Compostela town, northern Cebu from Negros when the incident happened.
The victim’s father lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. The boy was pinned by the rear tire of a Ceres bus trailing behind.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
The bus driver was taken into police custody and may face charges for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
