Girl, 14, rescued from 'sextortion' in Bacoor hotel

CAVITE – Authorities rescued a 14-year-old girl from an alleged blackmail and sexual assault attempt in a hotel in Bacoor City on Saturday, May 30.
A report from the Police Regional Office 4A said the victim and her father sought help from the Bacoor Component City Police Station (Bacoor CCPS) and reported the suspect, who reportedly coerced the girl to meet him and engage in intimate act.
The suspect allegedly threatened to share their previously recorded intimate video on social media if the victim refused to meet in a hotel.
Acting on the report, the Bacoor CCPS conducted an entrapment operation.
On the day of the meet-up, however, the hotel staff reportedly obstructed and delayed the operatives, resulting in their arrest.
The suspect, meanwhile, allegedly attempted to abuse the victim inside the hotel room and, upon being confronted by authorities, tried to resist arrest, resulting in his injuries.
Among the pieces of evidence recovered from the suspect’s possession were a gun with ammunition and the cell phone where the reported explicit video was saved.
The victim was successfully rescued while the suspect is now under custody.
Police said the suspect is facing charges for grave threat, grave coercion, attempted statutory rape, illegal possession of firearms, and multiple counts of statutory rape.
