Couple stabbed to death while sleeping

VILLASIS, Pangasinan – A couple was stabbed to death in Barangay Piaz here on Sunday night, May 31.
Initial investigation said the victims – a 40-year-old female Overseas Filipino Worker and a 42-year-old male farmer – were sleeping when the suspect, a 47-year-old male farmer and former live-in partner of the female victim, appeared.
An 18-year-old student and a 48-year-old housekeeper were awakened by loud screams and saw the suspect stabbing the victims before fleeing through the back door with a bladed weapon used in the attack.
The victims sustained multiple stab wounds and declared dead in a hospital.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
