President Marcos has declared special non-working days in 13 areas across the country for their respective celebration of founding anniversaries.
Marcos declared June 1, Monday, as special non-working day in the municipality of Palapag, Northern Samar.
The declaration was made under Proclamation No. 1268 to give way to the municipality's celebration of Sumuroy Day.
"[I]t is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Palapag be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration," Marcos said in the proclamation signed on May 26.
The President declared June 18, Thursday, a special non-working day in Calintaan, Occidental Mindoro for the 60th founding anniversary of the municipality.
June 18 was also declared special non-working day in Presentacion, Camarines Sur for its 65th charter anniversary; Carmen, Davao del Norte for its founding anniversary; Kalilangan, Bukidnon for its 60th founding anniversary; and Ambaguio, Nueva Vizcaya for its founding anniversary.
The holidays were declared under Proclamation Nos. 1266, 1269, 1270, 1271, and 1272 signed on May 26.
June 3, Wednesday, was likewise declared as special non-working day in the municipality of Ayungon, Negros Oriental for its 102nd township anniversary.
June 6, which falls on Saturday, was also declared a special non-working day in Zamboanga del Norte. The province will be celebrating its 74th founding anniversary.
June 9, Tuesday, will be a special non-working day in Rosario, Batangas for the celebration of its founding anniversary.
June 17, Wednesday, was also declared as a special non-working day in Lapu-Lapu City which will mark the celebration of its 65th charter anniversary.
June 18, Thursday, was declared as special non-working day in San Fernando, Bukidnon for the celebration of its 60th founding anniversary.
June 19, which falls on a Friday, was also declared a special non-working day in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte for the celebration of its charter anniversary.
Marcos also declared June 24 a special non-working day in Tiaong, Quezon Province for the celebration of its town fiesta.
These holidays were declared under Proclamation Nos. 1273, 1274, 1275, 1276, 1277 , 1278, and 1279 which were signed on May 28.
