A candidate representing Barangay Bambang won the Mutya ng Taguig 2026 pageant held on May 30 at the Taguig City University Auditorium.
Michele Angela Okol bested 36 other candidates to win the crown. She also took home the Darling of the Press award.
Okol previously won Miss Manila Tourism at the Miss Manila 2023 pageant and became a contestant in the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 pageant representing Siargao.
“She stood out throughout the competition, showcasing her confidence, elegance, passion, and grace on stage. In recognition of her charm, she was also awarded the title of Darling of the Press,” according to the Mutya ng Taguig.
The other winners are Danna Ashley Mayo of Barangay Cembo, first runner-up; Nicole Andre Manabat, Barangay Comembo, second runner-up; Joana Rivera, Barangay Pinagsama, third runner-up; and Queen Jubilee Mongcupa, Barangay Katuparan, fourth runner-up.
The winners of special awards are: Lindsay Anne Nicole Pocaan of Barangay Wawa, Miss Photogenic; Kamille Silvestre of Barangay Ligid-Tipas, Miss Congeniality; Princila Keith Cuevas of Barangay South Signal, Best in Eco Fashion Runway; Nicole Andre Manabat of Barangay Comembo, Best in Evening Gown; Michele Angela Okol of Barangay Bambang, Darling of the Press; Queen Jubilee Mongcupa of Barangay Katuparan, Best in Swimwear; and Erin Nathalie Samonte of Barangay Sta. Ana, Best Advocacy Video Award.
The judges were Krishnah Gravidez, Miss World Asia 2024 and Miss World Philippines 2024; Yllana Marie Aduana, Miss Earth-Air 2023, Miss Earth Philippines 2023, and Miss Universe Philippines 2025 second runner-up; Regi Cruz, camp head stylist and celebrity fashion stylist; Deejaye Cuadrado-Dela Paz, Star Magic talent manager; and Leo Almodal, fashion designer.
Candidates for Mutya ng Taguig must be a resident of Taguig, have at least one parent who is a Filipino citizen, at least a high school graduate, assigned female at birth and at least 18 years old on pageant day. There are no restrictions on marital or parental status.
