Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa to admit 3,500 freshmen this year
The city-funded Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) will admit 3,500 incoming freshmen for the academic year 2026 to 2027.
“In consideration of the University's absorptive capacity, including the availability of qualified personnel, classrooms, laboratories, and other institutional facilities, the University has set an admission quota of 3,500 incoming freshmen for Academic Year 2026-2027,” it announced.
PLMun said the selection process for the freshmen “was conducted through a systematic and merit-based evaluation.”
The applicants were pre-qualified under their first program of choice based on their senior high school grades. After this, the applicants were ranked based on their admission test results.
The top-performing applicants were chosen based on the allotted quota for each academic program and those who did not qualify under their first program of choice were evaluated and ranked under their second program of choice, the university said.
“Again, the top-performing applicants were selected according to the remaining available quota per program. All remaining applicants were thereafter ranked based on their overall performance, and qualified applicants were endorsed to programs with available slots beyond their declared program choices, subject to the University's admission policies and available capacity,” it explained.
PLMun has the PLMun-OsMun College of Medicine, a joint venture of the university and the Ospital ng Muntinlupa through the Muntinlupa City government. The college offers a Doctor of Medicine degree.
