Senator Imee Marcos said on Friday, May 29, that what the administration is doing to the Senate majority bloc is "very obvious", citing statements from President Marcos that, for her, are tantamount to interference in legislative affairs.

In a Viber message, the presidential sister cited what she described as the President’s involvement in discussions surrounding the online voting issue.
"Even the President is now lambasting the Senate and meddling with the online voting issue," she said.
In an interview, the President rejected proposals to amend Senate rules to allow online voting, saying the measure appeared intended to allow Sen. Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa to participate despite being wanted by authorities.
He said the proposal seems to apply only to Dela Rosa.
For Senator Marcos, these developments constitute “clear incursions in the constitutional boundaries between executive and legislative,” warning that such actions may be crossing institutional limits.
“It seems the intent is to paralyze us because they are afraid of what a real Blue Ribbon investigation will reveal,” Senator Marcos said.
“They want to render us powerless so that the Senate will become a rubber stamp for their plans,” she added.
