Team Liquid, Onic sweep semis foes to arrange upper bracket finals dance

The defending champion Team Liquid swept Omega Esports in their best-of-five series, while Onic PH shocked the second seed Team Falcons PH with a 3-0 victory as the two teams moved one win away from punching a ticket to the Mid-Season Cup in Paris, France.

Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno set the tone for the Cavalry in the series opener, dominating the battle for the major objectives en route to a neat 8-0-9 KDA on the jungle Harley pick.

Team Liquid also made sure to punish Omega on every miscue during the big team fight, needing 18 minutes to draw first blood in the series with a dominant 20-11 tally.

Alston “Sanji” Pabico provided support with a 5-3-14 line on the Yve while Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya put up a 4-3-12 line on the Phoveus pick.

TLPH never looked back from there as it dominated Game 2 with a 12-7 kill score in just 14 minutes with Karltzy once more putting together a clean 5-0-4 KDA. Game 3 was much of the same, if not more dominant, with an 18-3 kill tally with a 6-0-8 KDA for Karltzy’s Harley and a 7-0-8 KDA on Sanji’s Yve.

Meanwhile, Onic PH banked on its superb micro plays in the crucial 20-minute Lord dance Game 2 to move into the series match points. 

The Super Family completed outplays one after the other during the extended Lord fight to secure a wipeout and take the 16-9 win.

Indonesian import Clayton “Savero” Kuswanto shone on his gold lane Yi Sun-Shin with a 7-1-6 line in the contest that came as a fitting follow up to the team’s hot start when they only needed 12 minutes to take down Team Falcons PH in Game 1.

Team Falcons did show some resistance in Game 3 but mid and late game was totally dominated by Onic PH with Frince “Super Frince” Ramirez compiling a 3-0-15 line on Lylia pick while Savero added a clean 5-0-6 KDA on the Harith.
