Meta launches paid subscriptions plans for Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp

Meta has announced their subscription plans for their apps. They will be rolling out Facebook Plus, Instagram Plus, and WhatsApp Plus, as part of their broader push to offer tools across their apps and AI products. Those who will benefit from these Plus plans the most would be businesses and content creators, though anyone interested may get one.
The entry-level Plus plans are priced at $3.99 per month for both Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus, while WhatsApp Plus comes in slightly cheaper at $2.99 per month. These tiers are focused on customization, messaging enhancements, and audience engagement tools rather than replacing existing free features.
What users will be getting would be more personalize customization, reactions, story insights, unlimited viewing of stories, and whatnot.
Meta will also be introducing Meta One, which will be the hub for all of Meta’s subscription plans, including Meta AI. Though this one is still in its testing phase.
The Plus subscriptions will not be replacing the Meta Verified brand, at least for now. Verified is tied to user identity to protect them from impersonalization.
Heavy Meta AI users will get two subscription plans, the Plus and Premium versions. Premium will provide more AI queries for users.
Meta One will come with two subscription plans. Meta One Essentials ($14.99) and Meta One Advance ($49.99). Prices are per month. Essentials will offer Verified status and allow them to create links for their other social media accounts. Meta One Advance offers Essentials but also appears more in people’s feed, has this big “FOLLOW” button and invites to follow for anyone who engages with their content.
As of now there are no official prices for Philippine users. Platforms tend to have regional prices, though that isn't always the case. If we are to convert the prices above as is, then, as of this writing the prices would be around the following:
Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus: P230.
WhatsApp Plus: P175.
Meta One Essentials: P465.
Meta One Advance: P1,160.
