QCPD teams up with agencies to boost public safety

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has bolstered coordination with government agencies and stakeholders through inter-agency meetings focused on enhancing public safety, law enforcement cooperation, and governance in the city.

QCPD director PBGen. Randy Glenn Silvio said the District Investigation and Detective Management Division (DIDMD), headed by PLtCol. Crizalde Conde, conducted coordination meetings from April to May 2026 to address various law enforcement and governance concerns.

Among the matters discussed were proposed stricter requirements for the issuance of duplicate motor vehicle plates with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and coordination with the judiciary to support criminal prosecution efforts.

The QCPD also held consultations with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Quezon City Social Services Development Department (SSDD) on the possible delisting of arrested individuals from government assistance programs.

The DIDMD likewise coordinated with the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on regulatory concerns involving Small Town Lottery (STL) operations and with the Office of the City Mayor on the city’s peace and order and public safety indicators for Calendar Year 2025.

Further discussions were held with the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) to assess the possible link between poverty and criminality in the National Capital Region.

QCPD said the initiatives reflect its continuing commitment to proactive policing, stronger inter-agency collaboration, and the promotion of peace and order in Quezon City.
