Authorities in southern Metro Manila arrested two men in separate operations—one for illegal possession of a firearm in Muntinlupa and another for statutory sexual assault in Taguig.
In Muntinlupa, police operatives apprehended alias Mak-Mak, 30, after he was found with an unlicensed handgun during the implementation of a search warrant in Barangay Alabang. He faces a complaint for violating Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
The warrant, issued on May 25 by Executive Judge Joseph Alcantara of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 204, was served at 7C PNR Site in Alabang.
During the search, police recovered a defaced .38-caliber revolver loaded with two live rounds.
“Our personnel remain highly active in tracking down loose firearms and executing court-issued warrants to keep our local streets safe,” said Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco, director of the Southern Police District (SPD).

Oscar was arrested based on a warrant for statutory sexual assault under Article 266-A, Paragraph 2 of the Revised Penal Code, in relation to Section 5(B) of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The warrant, with a recommended bail of ₱120,000, was issued on May 25 by Presiding Judge Byron San Pedro of the Taguig Family Court Branch 15.
