Missing toddler found dead in Mountain Province

NATONIN, Mountain Province – A missing three-year-old girl was found dead behind a chapel in Sitio Batnong, Barangay Banawel, here on Sunday, May 24.
Police said the victim accompanied her grandmother to a barangay gathering before she went missing on Saturday, May 23.
The incident was reported to the Natonin Municipal Police Station, prompting an immediate search operation.
The victim was found by her grandfather at around 7:30 a.m. She was taken to a hospital in Natonin where she was declared dead.
Initial findings indicated that the child sustained a traumatic brain injury.
Authorities said the victim’s body will undergo an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
