President Marcos said the observance of the Eid'l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice calls on the community to look beyond personal desires.
In his message on Wednesday, May 27, Marcos joined the Muslim communities around the world in observing the Feast of Sacrifice.
He said that through selflessness, "we build bridges of understanding, heal divisions, and create a more just society."
"As we reflect on the story of Prophet Ibrahim, this sacred occasion reminds us of the power of unwavering faith, complete submission to Allah's will, and trust in a purpose greater than ourselves," Marcos said.
"It calls us to look beyond our personal desires and to recognize that true fulfillment is found in obedience, humility, and devotion," Marcos added.
The President further said that Eid'l Adha carries a message for people of all faiths and backgrounds: that sacrifice, when offered with sincerity and love, becomes a source of profound strength.
"It teaches us that whatever we surrender for what is just and noble is never lost. Rather, it is transformed into blessings that enrich our homes, strengthen our communities, and elevate our shared humanity," Marcos said.
Marcos expressed hope that the sacred observance inspire deeper reflection and renew the people's commitment to the values that bind the nation together.
"Let us carry the spirit of Eid'l Adha into our daily lives and offer our own acts of generosity in building a more compassionate and inclusive bagong Pilipinas," Marcos stated.
