Forest Hills Invitational posts record field; Raymundo-Estrella pair nets low gross honor

“This was the first that Forest Hills had that number. I wish to thank the members for this accomplishment,” Forest Hills General Manager Jude Eustaquio said.
Eustaquio, likewise, praised the huge efforts put in by management and different committees, particularly the Sports and Games and Marketing and Sponsorships, in making sure that the Invitational, which had Cherrylume and Sumo as title sponsor, was a big success.
The Januarius Golf Team, meanwhile, dominated with impressive performances in the six-day affair as its players won a majority of important awards.
Noel Estrella and partner member Iñigo Raymundo emerged as the low gross team champion. They scored 45 at the Palmer and 79 at Nicklaus for a two-day total of 115 points.
The Korean ladies pair of Kim Younju and Kim Yeong-hee combined for 130 points for the overall low net title.
Paolo Cagalingan and Terence Macatangay, both members of Januarius, took home the low gross honors in Class B as they put up a 41 (Palmer) and 68 (Nicklaus) for 108 points.
Macatangay walked home with the individual low gross crown with 76 points in Forest Hills’ annual member-guest tournament.
Other team gross winners were Steve Yoon and Jordan Mamaril (Class A), Dante Gozum and Paul Mo (Class C) and Evelyn Alcantara and Maricel Amor (Class D).
Elmer Ngo's Cherrylume Mileage Asia and Sumo were the title sponsors with BPI as platinum sponsor.
