The Cavalry was hardly affected by the departure of former star gold lane Kiel “Oheb” Soriano and topped the regular season with an impressive 13-1 record to claim an outright upper bracket spot in the playoffs.
Spearheaded by stars Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya, Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno, Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz, Alston “Sanji” Pabico and rookie Dave “TeddyQT” Viaña, TLPH went on a hot eight-game winning streak to open the season and never looked back since then.
Their lone defeat, however, came at the hands of their closest competition in Team Falcons PH which came as the second seed and likewise earned an outright upper bracket seat behind its 12-2 record.
With offseason addition Salic “Hadji” Imam proving to be the team’s stabilizer on the midlane, the crew composed David “Flaptzy” Canon, Kyle “Kyletzy” Sayson, Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano and Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo was a forced to be reckoned with this season.
The playoffs begin with the play-in matches where the third seed Onic Philippines, who has Indonesian import Clayton “Savero” Kuswanto, will take on last season’s bridesmaid finishers Aurora Gaming PH and the fourth seed Omega Esports locking horns with fifth seed Twisted Gaming PH.
