An estimated 6,000 people gathered early Wednesday, May 27, for the moon sighting activity in connection with Eid’l Adha 2026 at Burnham Green, Quirino Grandstand in Ermita, Manila, according to the Manila Police District (MPD).
Police said the crowd peaked at around 6:20 a.m. as the program was underway, marking the highest turnout during the early morning religious activity.
Authorities noted that attendance began to taper off after the peak, with an estimated 4,000 people still present by 7 a.m.
