Ashley Ortega speaks up on rumored romance between ex Mark Alcala and Kathryn Bernardo

Rumors surrounding Kathryn Bernardo and Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala continue to gain attention online, and now, Ashley Ortega has finally shared her thoughts about the rumored romance involving her former boyfriend.

During her guest appearance on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Ashley reacted gracefully to speculation linking Mark to Kathryn, even expressing admiration for the award-winning actress.

“Syempre si Kathryn kasi, I idolize her as an actress. So parang, oh wow, ang swerte naman ni Mark nakakuha siya ng Kathryn Bernardo,” Ashley said.

Rather than showing bitterness, Ashley made it clear that she is genuinely happy for the rumored pair.

“I’m just happy for them kasi it’s been years na rin and finally, nakahanap na siya ng mabuting decent girl. So I’m happy for the both of them,” she added.

Ashley and Mark were previously in a relationship until 2022. According to the actress, they have not remained close after their breakup.

“I don’t think we’re friends anymore kasi ever since nung nag-break kami, we never saw each other na eh,” Ashley shared.

Still, she clarified that their split was not messy or hostile.

“It was mutual and ayun lang talaga, we just never bump into each other,” she explained, adding that she would still greet him if they crossed paths again someday.

Ashley is now in a relationship with fellow Kapuso actor Mavy Legaspi.
