Village dad shot dead in Zamboanga Sibugay

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A barangay councilor was shot dead in Barangay San Jose, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay on Monday morning, May 25.

Police identified the victim as Edison Magdamit, councilor of Barangay Gandiangan, Imelda.

Magdamit was driving his motorcycle on the highway when another motorcycle with two men appeared. The back rider drew a gun and shot Magdamit.

Magdamit died on the spot. The suspects fled.

Police are conducting manhunt operations and follow-up investigation.
