BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested a 48-year-old general manager of the Sipalay City Water District in Barangay 3, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental on May 21 for alleged rape.
The suspect was tagged as the second most wanted person in Sipalay City.
The suspect was apprehended on a warrant issued on May 21 by a Regional Trial Court in Sipalay City for two counts of rape with no bail recommended and one count of rape by sexual assault with a recommended bail of P120,000.
Police Lt. Cipriano Lumanog III, deputy chief of the Sipalay City Police Station, said an arrest warrant for two counts of acts of lasciviousness was also served against the suspect on April 13. The suspect posted a P36,000 bail.
Lumanog said the suspect refused to provide details about his cases and told police that he will face them in court.
