A massive fire razed hundreds of houses and left about 400 families homeless in Pulong Kendi, Barangay Sta. Ana, Taguig, on May 25.
Mayor Lani Cayetano visited evacuees at the Taguig Integrated School Covered Court, which the city government designated as a temporary shelter.
Barangay Sta. Ana also announced that the Sta. Ana Multipurpose Building (New Talipapa) is serving as an additional evacuation site.
Firefighters raised the first alarm at 5:57 p.m. and the fifth alarm at 7:05 p.m.
The blaze was declared under control at 9:12 p.m.
Cayetano said the city has begun distributing P10,000 in financial assistance to each affected family head, with more aid to follow.
The city government is also providing food, water, and medicine to displaced residents.
