Sulli's brother makes new posts about Kim Soo-hyun amid ongoing controversy
The brother of the late K-pop idol and actress Sulli has posted a series of messages on social media that appear to reference actor Kim Soo-hyun, drawing renewed attention to past controversies involving the two.
Sulli and Kim Soo-hyun previously worked together in the 2017 film "Real," which was one of Kim’s last projects before his military enlistment.
Sulli passed away on October 14, 2019, at the age of 25.
The recent online posts come shortly after South Korean police cleared Kim Soo-hyun in a separate issue linked to the late actress Kim Sae-ron, concluding that he did not date her while she was still a minor.
Kim Sae-ron died on February 16 last year. Following her death, her family and a YouTube operator accused Kim Soo-hyun of having an inappropriate relationship with her when she was underage. Prosecutors have since requested an arrest warrant for the YouTuber involved in spreading the allegations.
On May 21, Sulli’s brother posted a cryptic message on Instagram that read, “The moment you crawl back out, it's Round 2. The choice is yours.”
In earlier claims made last year after Kim Sae-ron’s death, he also alleged that Sulli was pressured into filming a bed scene with Kim Soo-hyun in "Real." However, Kim’s agency, Gold Medalist, denied the accusation, saying Sulli was fully aware of the scene before filming.
In a follow-up post on May 22, Sulli’s brother mentioned Kim Soo-hyun directly and claimed he has a 37-minute audio recording involving conversations with a former manager of Sulli. He said the recording allegedly includes references to several figures and institutions but did not release it publicly.
He added that he is holding back from further disclosures out of consideration for their mother and stated that he believes his claims are true.
His posts quickly sparked backlash online, with some netizens criticizing him for making vague and unverified accusations and urging him to present evidence if he has any.
The renewed attention comes as Kim Soo-hyun remains on hiatus amid ongoing scrutiny tied to the Kim Sae-ron case.
