Police nab rape suspect in Laguna

CAMP GEN. PACIANO RIZAL, Santa Cruz, Laguna – A 37-year-old man wanted for rape was arrested on Saturday, May 23, in Cabuyao City, Laguna.
Police identified the victim as John. He was listed as a most wanted person on the regional level.
John was apprehended on a warrant issued by the Cabuyao City Regional Trial Court Branch 108 for qualified rape with no bail recommended.
He is in the custody of the Cabuyao City police for documentation and disposition.
The court has been informed of the implementation of the warrant after the suspect’s hideout was discovered.
Meanwhile, a 34-year-old motorcycle rider was shot dead on Saturday night in Barangay Dao, Balayan, Batangas.
Police said the body of Vin was found lying on the ground beside his motorcycle after gunshots were heard in the area.
Follow-up investigation and manhunt operations are ongoing.
