LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Police Col. Dennis de Leon, Pangasinan police chief, has ordered chiefs of police in the province to be accessible and responsive to members of the media.
De Leon issued the order during a recent media meet and greet at the Pangasinan Provincial Police Office here to ensure the timely and accurate dissemination of information to the public.
He emphasized the importance of open communication, especially during incidents that require immediate clarification and public awareness.
De Leon said transparency and proper coordination with accredited media practitioners are essential in strengthening public trust and preventing the spread of misinformation.
He reminded unit commanders to handle media inquiries professionally while maintaining operational security and discipline at all times.
De Leon stressed the need for faster and more organized communication channels within police stations to ensure that verified information is released without unnecessary delay. “Harapin ninyo ang mga media at kausapin nyo sila."
