JM Ibarra, Fyang Smith share each other's 'green flags'
Since their memorable run on "Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11" in 2024, where Fyang Smith emerged as the Big Winner and her tandem with JM Ibarra, known as “JMFyang,” began, the two have become one of the most popular young loveteams of their generation.
During the Star Magic Spotlight press conference on May 21, JMFyang opened up about each other’s green flags.
“Siguro yung green flag mo yung authenticity mo kasi that shows na wala kang secret na itinatago sa akin,” JM said.
Fyang, meanwhile, praised JM for his personality and treatment of others.
“Sobrang understanding niya and respectful niya.
Showing their support for one another, JM said that the connection they built during their time inside the Pinoy Big Brother house helped strengthen their bond even more.
Following the box-office success of their film "Almost Us," JMFyang now takes on new roles as Raya Verona and Ronnie Manalang in ABS-CBN Studios’ newest romance-drama series, "Love Is Never Gone."
According to the pair, working on the set has taught them valuable lessons about building relationships with co-workers and understanding the ethics given to their profession as actors.
Fyang also proudly shared her closeness with veteran actress Dina Bonnevie, revealing that she often visits the actress’ dressing room whenever they are not filming scenes.
“I can say na super close kami ni Mama (Dina).
The affection goes both ways, as Dina even gave Fyang the cute nickname “Little Shrimpy.”
JM admitted that he did not expect Fyang and Dina to develop such a close connection despite working together for the first time.
“Isa rin ako sa mga hindi nag-expect no’n, so ramdam na ramdam ko kung gaano kalalim ang bond nila as ‘mag-ina,’ may script man o wala,” he said.
"Love Is Never Gone" streams exclusively on Prime Video, with two fresh episodes dropping every Friday.
