Headed by AAXS president Jim Howard See of Batch ’94, part of the proceeds will go to group “Xaverians: Para Kay Cher” that supports former teachers of the educational institution.
“That is our way of giving back to our former teachers who are now retired, in need of support for their medicines or medical treatment. Of course they helped us during our years at Xavier School. Now it’s our turn to help them,” said Oliver Gan, who heads the AAXS sports golf committee.
Aside from former teachers, Gan, who is also the president of the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP), mentioned that the two other beneficiaries of the golf tournament are the AAXS and the current Xavier Golf Team.
Gan said he is grateful that this year’s golf event is getting solid support, which included PGA Cars - with its ‘hole-in-one’ prize of a brand-new Audi Q3 - and Transview, Signature Series by SM Residences, Blacksun Renewables Corporation, Januarius Holdings Inc., and DN Golf.
The tournament format will be a two-man team modified scramble with alternate putting once on the green scoring under the System36
See will lead the ceremonial tee with Batch ’01 president Christopher Tan, Wack Wack Golf and Country Club chief Ben Abalos, Lawrence Tan, Batch ‘01 Homecoming chairman Prudencio Coyiuto of PGA Cars, Jeremy Go of Go for Gold, Anthony Uy of Darlington, and Gan.
Division 1 will feature pairs composed exclusively of Xavierians, while Division 2 will allow mixed partnerships consisting of one Xavierian and a guest or tournament sponsor. The field is limited to the first 150 players.

Other ‘hole-in-one’ prizes will come from supporters OGAN, Superkit, Blacksun Renewables, Jeremy Go, Kevin San Agusttin and Get Go Golf Carts.
Aside from See, the other AAXS officers are Jonathan Richie Yap (vice president), Jeremy Cobankiat (secretary-general), and Joseph Emmanuel Ang (treasurer).
