- Catriona Gray says she is still open to working with ex-fiancé Sam Milby if the project is the right fit.
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray said she remains open to working professionally with ex-fiancé Sam Milby, provided the project is the right fit.
Speaking to reporters at designer Haydee Garcia’s “Petals & Poetry” fashion show, where she served as the primary muse, Gray briefly addressed the possibility of reuniting with Milby onscreen despite their highly publicized breakup.
“Siguro if it’s a good project. If it’s a project that’s fit for me, that’s the consideration,” she said.
Gray and Milby’s split became one of the most talked-about celebrity breakups in recent years, especially after the former couple called off their engagement.
Months after staying silent, Gray opened up about the breakup in an emotional interview with Karen Davila, admitting she felt “blindsided” and “shattered” by how things ended.
According to Gray, Milby realized months after proposing that he was not yet ready for the level of commitment their relationship required. She shared that while she tried to understand and adjust, his uncertainty eventually became an answer in itself.
The beauty queen and host also revealed that she underwent two years of therapy following the breakup, crediting the process for helping her heal and become the healthiest version of herself.
Despite the heartbreak, Gray appears to have moved forward positively. She has recently been linked to a non-showbiz personality, although she continues to keep her love life private.
When asked about her current relationship status, Gray simply smiled and said, “Para sa akin na lang ’yun. Basta I’m happy. That’s all I’m gonna say.”
