Rico Blanco still open to love and marriage after Maris Racal split
It has been a while since his abrupt split from actress Maris Racal, and Rico Blanco it seems is raring to get back into the dating game.
In a recent interview on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the singer-songwriter said he remains open to the possibility of finding “the one” and does not rule out marriage in the future, though only under the right circumstances.
“It’s still a possibility for me. But I suppose it has to be with the right person because I’m at the age where I don’t have to get married. I understand that, for some people, they have to get married, but right now, I don’t have to get married. So if I get married, it has to be the right person,” he said.
He added that he does not feel pressured by his family to settle down, noting that they understand his emotional investment in relationships and the heartbreak that can come with them.
Looking back, he shared that there was a time when he thought being single might be his “calling,” before his outlook shifted after experiencing relationships.
“There was a time when I resigned, parang I knew that being single was the best setup for me. But that was a long time ago. Then I had a relationship after that. Right now, I’m single, but I’m open to not being single,” he said.
Despite past heartbreak, Blanco emphasized the importance of loving fully, even when there is uncertainty.
“Bigay mo pa rin lahat. Kasi kahit anong mangyari, Tito Boy, there’ll be no regrets afterwards,” he said.
“It’s just a little harder to be ready again,” he admitted.
