Police seized P1.79 million worth of shabu and arrested five drug suspects in entrapment operations in Muntinlupa City and Taguig City on Friday, May 22.
The Muntinlupa police dismantled a local distribution point for illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Alabang.
They arrested two suspects -- alias Archie, 39, a listed high-value individual, and alias Leo, 40, a newly identified street-level individual -- for violation of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The operation was carried out in Sitio San Roque by operatives from the Station Drug Enforcement Unit, wherein an undercover officer acted as a poseur-buyer and transacted with the suspects.
Police recovered six plastic sachets containing 65.5 grams of shabu worth P431,800, along with two P500 bills used as buy-bust money.
"Our local drug enforcement units maintain a firm stance against syndicates and individuals pushing illegal substances into our neighborhoods,” said Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco, district director of the Southern Police District.
In Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig, police arrested three drug suspects and seized P1.36 million worth of shabu in a commercial establishment.
The SPD’s District Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the operation, with a police officer acted as a poseur-buyer.
Arrested were alias Nash, 25; alias Parouk, 32; and alias Dustin, 18. Police seized about 200 grams of shabu, buy-bust money, and a cell phone used in the illegal transaction.
