Four drug personalities were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) in Novaliches, Quezon City, resulting in the confiscation of shabu worth P118,320.
In a report, the QCPD said personnel of Novaliches Police Station 4 carried out coordinated checkpoint and buy-bust operations on May 19 and May 21, 2026 that led to the arrest of four suspects.
At around 3:00 a.m. on May 21, 2026, police flagged down alias “Robert,” 28, and alias “Jayson,” 38, along Orbe Street, Barangay San Agustin during a checkpoint operation, but the suspects allegedly fled, prompting a brief chase that ended in their arrest.
Recovered from them were 7.4 grams of shabu worth P50,320, a Yamaha Mio motorcycle, a driver’s license, and two cellular phones.
In a separate buy-bust operation on May 19, 2026 in TS Cruz Subdivision, Barangay San Agustin, operatives arrested alias “John Kirby,” 45, and alias “Reynante,” 38.
Seized from the suspects were 10 grams of shabu valued at P68,000, a pouch, a cellphone, and marked money used in the sting operation.
QCPD records showed that John Kirby had drug cases in January and August 2023, while Reynante was arrested in June 2019 and March 2022 for violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
All suspects will face charges for violation of R.A. 9165, while Robert and Jayson will also face additional charges for resistance and disobedience to persons in authority.
