The Quezon City government extended its condolences and provided assistance to the family of a 53-year-old woman who collapsed while waiting for her Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) payout at Quezon City Hall on Tuesday, May 19.
In a statement, the city government said the resident of Barangay Sauyo was immediately assisted by Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (QCDRRMO) responders and rushed to East Avenue Medical Center, where she died despite medical efforts.
The local government provided burial assistance to the bereaved family and said it will include her youngest child in its scholarship program.
“The local government continues to coordinate with the woman’s family to determine what further assistance may be extended to them,” the city government said.
“Every QCitizen can be assured that the local government will review the implementation of protocols, particularly on safety, in all activities conducted by various organizations at City Hall to ensure these are sufficient for everyone,” it added.
