Ospital ng Maynila ER to temporarily close for renovation
The Emergency Room (ER) of the Ospital ng Maynila will be temporarily closed from Sunday, May 24, to Monday, June 1, to give way to major renovation works, the city government announced.
Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said patients requiring urgent medical attention during the period will be temporarily referred to six other city government–run hospitals.
He did not specify the full list of receiving hospitals, but assured that alternative facilities are prepared to accommodate affected patients while the ER is under rehabilitation.
The city government appealed for understanding and cooperation from the public as the upgrade is carried out to ensure safer and more reliable healthcare services for Manileños.
Officials said the temporary closure is part of ongoing efforts to improve hospital facilities and strengthen emergency medical response in the capital.
