Two suspected drug pushers were arrested in Paranaque City after police confiscated confiscated P102,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation early Thursday morning, May 21.
Parañaque City Police chief Col. Nicolas Pinon identified the suspects as “MC,” 21, and Jeffree, 50. They were apprehended at around 12:40 a.m. on E. Rodriguez Street in Barangay Moonwalk.
Pinon said members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) conducted the buy-bust operation, with an undercover policeman acting as the poseur-buyer.
The SDEU operatives immediately arrested the suspects after the undercover policeman was able to purchase a sachet of shabu from them.
Police recovered around 15 grams of shabu, including the sachet sold to the poseur-buyer, with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) value of P102,000, as well as the marked buy-bust money.
The suspects are currently detained at the Parañaque City police custodial facility and were charged with violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
