Commercial building in Quezon City catches fire

A fire was reported at a commercial building occupied by a branch of the Bank of the Philippine Islands along Kamias Road near EDSA in Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City, Metro Manila on Thursday evening, May 21, 2026.
Firefighters were immediately dispatched to the area to put out the blaze.
The fire was raised to first alarm at 7:26 p.m. before it was declared under control at 8:14 p.m., according to the BFP NCR Fire District 5 – Quezon City.
No information on possible injuries or the extent of damage has been released as authorities continue to investigate the incident.
